Trey Ford, Global Security Strategist, Rapid7
Trey Ford is the Global Security Strategist at Rapid7, providing security expertise across the company and community. In this role he educates consumers and businesses about the latest risks and vulnerability research, while also gathering valuable insight from the security community to help shape the direction and vision of Rapid7.
Prior to this role, Trey was the General Manager of Black Hat, the most technical and relevant global information security event series in the world. Trey worked with the Black Hat team to bring together top researchers, practitioners and business leaders, providing a collaborative venue for learning and a stage for the presentation of significant security research.
With more than 15 years of information security experience, Trey has previously held a variety of roles with industry leaders including Zynga, McAfee, FishNet Security and WhiteHat Security. Trey has been a speaker at security events such as Black Hat, RSA, B-Sides, ISSA, ISACA, OWASP, and others. He is a member of the (ISC)2 North American Advisory Board, the SINET Global Advisory Board, as well as the Black Hat Review Board. He has held various certifications, including the CISSP, MCSE, CCNA, and the designations QDSP and QSA.
